Notice anything different around here?
Let’s see, we have a new (old) site design, a reorganized header section, a new about me page (my favorite yet!), and…a new site name! Yes, I’ve switched from Class Meets Couture to having a self-titled blog. With such a huge shift in branding over the past few weeks, I figured renaming the site would help give a new look to the blog.
To accompany this new site name, I decided that today would be the perfect time to share with you all my engagement photos! Well, I guess I should say our engagement photos since Patrick is also in them.
Slightly off-topic question – When I’m talking about getting married/wedding planning, am I supposed to say “our” instead of “my,” even if Patrick is absent from the conversation? This question has been bothering me for weeks.
Anyways, here’s the story behind our engagement photos.
Patrick and I decided to go to Paris towards the end of January because he had a gap in his work schedule and I had been yearning to go since my previous Paris plans fell through. Booking the trip was rather spontaneous (we booked our flights December 25th), but we used credit card points to pay for our flights. Fast forward two weeks and we were engaged. Patrick “surprised” me with the idea to get our engagement photos taken in Paris. I immediately reached out to my favorite Paris photographer, Katie Mitchell, and she just so happened to be available during our trip (be sure to check out her website and her Instagram).
If you are in Paris and need photos taken for whatever reason, I highly recommend you reach out to Katie. She is the most friendly and outgoing person I have ever met (plus I love how she’s an Australian living abroad in Paris). If only we could fly her out from Paris to Notre Dame for our wedding!
